jb live cricket  Manchester City has accused the Premier League of a "misleading" response following a legal case involving commercial dealing rules.

City wrote to 19 other Premier League clubs and the league late on Monday questioning the league's interpretation of the results, saying its position was that all related party transactions (APT) rules were now invalid.

The Premier League champions launched a legal challenge against the rules earlier this year on the grounds that it breached competition law.

The APT rules are designed to ensure that business transactions with entities related to club owners reflect fair market value and are not artificially inflated.

Both the Premier League champions and the Premier League were declared winners on Monday after the arbitration panel's ruling was announced.

England's top flight said in its summary that City had been "unsuccessful in most of its challenges" and that the tribunal considering the case had determined that APT rules were necessary and pursued legitimate objectives.

But City said in its own statement that the tribunal had declared the APT rules "unlawful" and that the league had abused its dominant position under competition law.
